National Mustang Day Cruise and BBQ

Loading Events

As you may know, this past month has been a difficult one for our NUMOA family with the loss of both Jim Edwards and Preston Brown.  Now, in addition to that, Mustang Doug is temporarily out of commission dealing with a minor but painful health issue.  Because of all of this, and out of respect for the Brown Family who will be having Preston’s Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 15,we have made some changes to our plans for the Mustang Birthday Celebration.  We will now have a cruise from the church parking lot where Preston’s Celebration of Life will be held at the Woods Cross Stake Center 2064 South 800 West, Woods Cross, UT, to the Garage Grill in Herriman.  We will be gathering for the cruise at 2:00 pm and departing at 2:30 pm.  We expect to arrive at the restaurant about 3:30 pm.

The cruise route is approximately 40 mins without interruptions. I fine-tuned this route based on the lack of pot holes and railroad track crossings.  I-215 and just North of the California Ave exit are some really bad pot holes so that is why we are using I-80 West to Bangerter Highway.  The tracks crossing on California Ave and about 4600 West are in very good condition.  Very smooth and newer.

And remember to drive your Mustang on Monday, April 17 in the official commemoration of the birth of one of the greatest cars ever built.

Finally, I have been informed that the church building where will meet, 2064 South 800 West, Woods Cross, UT, where the Celebration of Life will be held has ample parking for a large corral of Mustangs.  Please join us if you can, even if you are not planning on attending the Celebration of Life.  We would love to show our support and appreciation for all the Browns have done and continue to do for the club by showing out in the church parking lot.  Old ponies never die, they just move on to greener pastures!
